If you get your visa, you might be able to find something on roommates.com. However, nobody is going to want a roomie for just 3 months. They are generally looking for commitments of at least a year. 3 months is considered vacation. If you can't afford it, then I suggest you stay home. Try looking into hostels (hostelsusa.com). However, there are NO hostels around Calabasas. That's much too ritzy for a hostel.

Any suggestions for a casual and fun restaurant in or near Calabasas, CA?

The bar at Kings Fish House (not the restaurant). There isn't pool or darts but they have music some nights, I think. The place is very casual and you can order the full restaurant menu.

Calabasas is nice - I would say middle class/upper middle class area. It's not a cheap place to live. The closest beaches would probably be Malibu/Zuma beaches.
