What a great place for children. There is no other school I would consider sending my child to in the CUSD than Bunche Elementary. Location wise, it's perfect. It's set in the middle of a residential neighborhood and someone is always at the front gate waiting to greet the children. The teachers are great and they genuinely care about the students. My only hope is that they reincorporate the activites that led to school spirit and really encouraged the students such as the daily morning assembly. However, as public schools go in this area, it's wonderful!

My daughter was in Miss Braun's kindergarten class last year, and thanks to Miss Braun (now Mrs. Lopez) switching to first grade, my daughter is in her class again this year. I've never met such an eager and caring teacher. Miss Braun uses various techniques and activities to gain the children's interest in all subjects, especially reading. She gives the children lots of praise and recognition to keep them engaged. My daughter is 'high energy' yet Miss Braun shows her frustration to her. Miss Braun finds ways to cultivate her energy instead of breaking her spirits. She is a Godsend to me and to the school.

Bunche elementary is a wonderful school. Although they experienced a drop in points on their API, I anticipate a growth from them this year. Bunche has a number of new teachers but they are dedicated new teachers who work tireless for student achievement. Bunche has experience a lot of changes in the last 2 years and as result their scores dropped. I am confident in their principal, Ms. Pearson and all of the teachers and staff and I believe Bunche will experience significant growth this year. Bunche is still an above average school and children would be very happy here.

I love this school. The new principal is a Godsend. My son is now in Mrs. Ashby's 1st grade class and she demands a lot from the kids. I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of work he is given but I am starting to see some improvment from him. I highly reccomend this school.

My daughter was in Ms. Olinares class in Kindergarden and I must say she is a wonderful teacher. Most kids are reading by the end of Kindergarden. Standards are set high, and above grade level. As a teacher in the district I would definitely recommend this school to anyone in the district. The only bad thing I would say is the playground there's lost of sand and concrete maybe not enough padding under the playground equipment. But all schools in Compton have this problem.

My son was in kindergarden with Ms. West. I cannot tell how great it showed in his first year of elementary. He learned how to read. The kids are held accountable for their work and performance. I think that is great. It was great to know what the school was doing in advance. The only complaint is communication from teacher to parent. 1 to 10 about a 7. Parents need to know what needs to be work on at home and if that is not communicated, then it cannot be worked on at home.

My child has attended Bunche since Kinder and now his in 4th grade. Buche staff has the goal to improve and it shows with our childrens scores. Parent and Teacher communication is open. Most or all material sent to the parents in English & Spanish. The school campus always looks clean and I am proud my son is part of Bunche.

My first kid attended this school since kinder garden and I'm a witness on how the school is growing during this five years, now it is #1 in the distric and is an example to follow to the rest of the schools in the district. My second child today is enrolled to this school because is the best choice I could do for him, it dosn't matter if I have to request a permit in the distric and I have to drive them to the school, is a worthy effort I'm willing to do for the wellfare of my child.

I am another parent who has nothing but wonderful things to say about Bunche Elementary School. My daughter has attended Bunche since Kindergarden. She is now in the 2nd grade. I have to thank Ms. Ashby, Ms. Martinez and Ms. Ross for being the wonderful teachers that they are. My daughter absolutely loves school. There are not too many 7 year old students who actually look forward to coming home and completing their homework, and her grades reflect all of her hard work. Last, but certainly not least I have to give lots of praise to the Principal, Ms. Soloman. There is absolutely no doubt that she has a genuine concern for each and every one of her students. She encourages them on a daily basis to be the best. She is truly a blessing. Ms. Cade

I have nothing but good things to say in regards to this school. First, the principal truly care about her students and they know it. The teachers show a great initiative in making learning fun for the students. I currently have two children attending this school and they love school. My daughter is in Ms. Ashbey's kindergarten class and she is a great teacher. My son has been a student there now, for three years and each teacher he had, they were great!

I'd like to commend Ms. Salomon, school principal, for the challenging curriculum that she has given since she started working at Bunche Elementary and also all the truly caring teachers. Ms. Salomon is a sharp young principal that has a geniune love for education and her students. My kids go to this school and I don't doubt those that graduate from Ralph J. Bunche Elementary School will have a foundation for entry into the finest universities.
