West Covina was originally incorporated as an independent city in 1923 to prevent the city of Covina from building a sewage farm in the area. it is now known as the more affluent and more educated part of the covina area. The City of West Covina is mostly a middle class city, with many upper middle class and upper class neighborhoods. West Covina boasts one of the San Gabriel Valley's top concentrations of households with annual income in excess of $78,000. The South Hills area of West Covina is home to some of the most expensive homes in the San Gabriel Valley, many muti-million dollar home are in South Hills. The South Hills Country Club is a private country club located in the eastern part of the city, on Cortez Ave. across from South Hills High School. West Covina is a diverse city with a booming economy, the city has attracted many large business like Mercedes-Benz, Regal Entertainment, and Big League Dreams Sportsplex. The city has to major shopping areas one on the west and one on the east side of West Covina, both are owned by Westfield, Westfield West Covina and Westfield Eastland. Westfield West Covina is a large regional mall located near the Civic center, also close by is The Lakes Entertainment Center which is home to Edwards 18 Cinemas, restaurants, and 1 bar & night club. West Covina is also building a new 2-and-half- star hotel, The Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites will be built in between the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn & Best Western Hotels next to Restaurant Row. A New Project underway is The West Covina Sportsplex Project. It is made up of four components, which includes the Commercial development (nearing completion), Big League Dreams Sports Park (completed), an 18-hole championship Public Golf Course, and a commercial office development.

I've never taken the Greyhound bus to UCSD and I don't think it's possible. UNLESS the Greyhound stops in downtown San Diego, but it's not convenient because UCSD isn't close to downtown San Diego. It's also a hassle taking the public bus to UCSD because it takes about 1 hour to 1.5 hours to get to UCSD from downtown. I would suggest taking the Amtrak but your round trip ticket may range from $40-$50 depending on what specific city you board the train, but that's my best guess since you're from the LA area. When you take the Amtrak, you get off in Solana Beach and it's about 25 minutes on the public bus to UCSD. You would take the 101 bus South heading towards UTC and it drops you off inside the UCSD campus.

donna suggest is good but i got one that avoids downtown LA okay if you can get to west covina *sunset and Vincent for example you can take the foothill silver streak to the el monte station then you can catch the 577 express bus to norwalk station then you transfer to 460 to disneyland
