Le Conte has great teachers but limited resources and too many children from homes where fights and gang involvement is normal. There is no parental involvement and few activities. Teachers are very good at what they do but the students make it next to impossible to feel safe and learn.

I personally think that leconte is a very good school with discipline, homework call in,great academic school work, and great smart influential teachers. My son loves this school, and wouldn't go to any other jr high school. He's learned so much, and his test scores are very high from were it used to be.I would definently refer this school to anyone who's looking for a magnet,or public school of choice. thanks.

I think Le Conte is a okay school to send your kids to. The teacher's seem to care about the student's.

This is actually not a bad school, the magnet isn't really that good, A-track is the same or better. There are rarely fights, teachers like Ms.Brown,Mr.Hanrahan, and Mr.Paivannas are just a few of the great teachers. It's way better than neighboring schools like Virgil & Bancroft.
